Boston Citizens Connect

I was walking a stroller in Chinatown when used the sidewalk overlooking the Pike on Shawmut Ave from Marginal Rd to Herald St. The condition of the road and sidewalk made me cringe so I reported it on Citizens Connect Live Chat.

Metal plates covering holes in the asphalt which are directly over train tracks.

The metal expansion joint looks in poor condition.
Exposed metal rebar in the concrete. Non-existent curb.
Road that could be mistaken for a quilt.

Matt:
I tried to submit a request on citizens connect but the server timed out and the submit box is grayed out.

Tom is reviewing your question. One moment please.
Tom:
Ok. What type of request were you trying to submit. I can complete the submission for you.
Matt:
Sidewalk repair... I took a few pictures, its pretty bad
Tom:
Ok. I would be happy to enter that in for you. Would you like me to enter your contact information in with the report?
Matt:
How would I upload the images?
Tom:
You can send me the images by clicking the "send file" button in this chat window.
Tom:
It should be right above the text box.
Tom:
It looks like a file folder with an arrow coming out of it
Matt:
ok
Tom:
What is the address of the sidewalk that needs repair?
Matt:

Matt:
There is exposed metal rebar in the concrete and 2 large metal plates covering holes
Tom:
Wow that certainly needs repair.
Tom:
I am going to go ahead and put your request in. It looks like they will need to completely reconstruct the sidewalk
Matt:
Its been like that for a long time...
Tom:
I am sorry about that. When I put your request in you will be sent a tracking number so you can make sure progress is being made on the case.
Matt:
Thank you
Tom:
No problem. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
Matt:
Nope, that was helpful. Thanks for inputting the request!
Tom:
Thank you for using the Mayor's Citizens Connect Live. Have a great day.
