Sungevity - Step 1 of 8

I had my in-site visit on 8/17/11 at 9AM which almost took 3 hours. An installer representing Sungevity and their authorized installer Invest Electrical were on hand to take a look. They were concerned because our unit is part of a condo association but they got authorization to do the work.

First, they took a look at the electric panel and uncovered it to take pictures. They wanted to see exactly where NStar connects and the power meter.

NStar Smart Energy Pilot Program

I applied for the NSTAR Smart Energy Pilot Program. The program provides awareness of your electricity usage in the home by providing smart meters and a thermostat. NSTAR is able to track energy usage patterns to help them learn about our habits. It also changes the way I am charged for my use of electricity. From 12-5PM, I will now be charged a peak rate.
