Harvard College senior Justin Lanning had been running the stairs in Harvard Stadium since January, but it was early this spring when he noticed something different as he reached the top of the steps and took a quick rest before heading back down. Across a parking lot, on the roof of the Gordon Indoor Track and Tennis building, workers were beginning to install rooftop solar panels as part of what has become Harvard’s largest solar energy project.

I've just saved a ton of money on my electricity

I cut my electricity bill to more than half for the billing period ending April. It was only $22 this month! Also note that the panels were only connected the last week of March. We will see how this looks for the summer as I being using the A/C more. Panels are averaging about 20kwh each so far

If you're interested in getting a free quote from Sungevity. http://bit.ly/sungevity This referral will provide both you and I a $500 gift card.

Darden now has Florida's biggest privately owned solar array

Darden Restaurants Inc. dedicates today a new array of solar panels that is so large it creates a canopy over the four-story parking garage at the company's headquarters in south Orange County.

It is, essentially, a utility-scale power plant, rated at 1.1 million watts.

Sungevity - Step 7 of 8

Inspection took place today and now NStar needs to provide the interconnect.

Pushing the Green Button for Energy Savings

Pushing the Green Button for Energy Savings

The White House hopes that someday soon everyone will be able to monitor and control their home energy usage, and lower their monthly utility bills, with a few swipes on a smartphone app. At least that’s the vision of the Green Button initiative, a recent White House effort to bring together the nation’s utilities, energy consumers and private industry to develop Internet and mobile phone-style technologies and business models aimed at reducing energy consumption.
Tendril Energize allows homeowners to manage energy usage remotely.
